Plugging Away

Jason and I are working hard each day, editing the film and getting it ready for release in January. What we have so far is looking amazing, especially the Desert Battle Scene, which was one of the last scenes we shot.

Tomorrow I have another meeting with Angelo to go over our game plan for January. This Friday we are sitting down and going through all the music submissions we have, which is a ton of material.

Festival in Pahrump

After a long hard week of late nights, we got our footage prepared for the High Desert Shorts film festival in Pahrump. We left Las Vegas Wednesday night and started early Thursday morning, helping a group of kids create a film from scratch. There were fifteen kids, and between 8:45am and 5:00pm they came up with a story, wrote a script, shot the film and all worked together like pros.

I will be posting the film online soon for the world to see, along with photos from the event. Friday the doors opened at 6:00pm and there were a ton of great movies shown. We screened our footage around midnight to a crowd of 30-40, and got a pretty good response.

Then after a long few days we headed home Saturday morning, after a good breakfast buffet at the Saddle West. We also have a great travel movie David Sean Greider filmed on the road to the festival. This will be posted soon as well.

Final Preparation

We have been moving along in the editing room, as the November 6th film festival is rapidly approaching. At the festival we will have a large presence and screen 25 minutes of our film.

If you have a chance to get to Pahrump for the festival, you will get to meet a few of the main stars from the film, and listen to three bands from our soundtrack play live sets. There is more information on the event on our web site, if you are interested.

A New Partnership...

Recently I have been in talks with Giordano World Entertainment, and they are coming on board as the marketing and distribution team for One Long Day. This past Monday, we had a sexy shoot involving Logan James and a bubble bath, I won't go into details here, but it was very HOT on set that night!

Giordano put us up in a penthouse suite, which was about 4 times bigger than my place. It was a good night of shooting, everything went smooth and we had a great time. Logan even showed up sick, because she didn't want to let us all down.

The footage came out fantastic. Thanks to Angelo, Chris, Tony and Logan for making it a great shoot.

Exciting things to come...

Over the last week some big events have taken place that could propel One Long Day to a whole new level. For now I will keep these events under wraps, but an announcement could come soon with all the details.

Next Newsletter Issue

I am putting the final touches on the next issue of our newsletter and expect it to go out tomorrow evening. With it, will be the first in a series of Video Blogs I will be putting together. In the first episode, you will get to go behind-the-scenes on the set of One Long Day. We were filming pick up shots at Gruff's apartment, and had Virren Orr on set with his camera just for "making of" footage.

I also have footage and more still photos coming from Art Hernandez who was also on set that day. These will be posted as soon as I get them. So stay tuned.

Server Downtime

I recently moved ONE LONG DAY to a new host. Every other day their servers go down, so I am shopping for a new host now, and will be moving again real soon. If you experience downtime on our site I apologize, and will have this situation corrected ASAP.

WOO HOO, after over a year of going back and forth, we have finally landed a listing in the Internet Movie Database (thanks to Chad Freeman). As I said in my email, do not worry if you are part of our film, but have a missing or incorrect credit. Our main goal was getting listed and now we have submitted massive changes so that everyone will be happy.
